Yo La Tengo returns to the WFMU Marathon TONIGHT (Friday, March 2) from 9 to midnight! Ira, James, Georgia and pal Bruce play your cover song requests in exchange for pledges! It’s simple, tune in and pledge, hosts Pseu Braun and Gaylord Fields throw them your pitch and they’ll hit it out of the park. It’s your only chance to program YLT’s set list, so don’t miss out (while helping your favorite freeform station operate for another year)!

Bookends! Knitter on the morning train, and now another knitter on the home bound PATH. Looks like this woman is using a pair off fancy hardwood interchangeable needles from Knitpicks. All she’s got going there is about an inch is k1p1 rib. Dawg sweater? That’s what I’m thinking. I’ve got two projects going myself, both too complicated for train knitting and therefore I in spite of my resolution to have no more than 2 on the sticks at a time, I feel I should have something to take along.
